　　Product Description：Ethambutol hydrochloride, also known as or related to ethambutol, is an oral chemothera-peutic agent which is specifically effective against actively growing microorganisms of the genus Mycobacterium, including M. tuberculosis. It is a white, crystalline powder. Freely soluble in water; soluble in alcohol and in methanol; slightly soluble in ether and in chloroform. Ethambutol has been shown to be effective against strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis but does not seem to be active against fungi, viruses, or other bacteria. Ethambutol Hydrochloride Tablets are indicated for the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.
